Short answer
Many booth companies include design when they build: MODdisplays offers free 3D mock-ups and Exhibit Boss includes 3 free design hours and a 3D render with purchase. Where design is charged on its own, Classic Exhibits' published fee schedule lists $300 for an inline concept and $500 for a 20×20 or 20×30 island, each with two rounds of revisions, with larger islands quoted. The build is priced separately: custom work runs $100 to $250 per square foot.

Is it right for you?
A trade show booth designer takes your brief, your floor space and your brand and produces concepts, 3D renders and build drawings. Most exhibit booth design companies also build what they design, so the price of design is often folded into the build quote.

Exhibit design and build companies, which design, render and fabricate in-house, and independent exhibit designers who hand drawings to a builder. Most of the companies on this page do both.
Start with what visitors should do in the booth, then give a designer your size, show, products, brand guidelines and budget. Expect two or three concepts, a 3D render of the one you pick, rounds of revisions and build drawings for the show's approval.
Yes. Most design companies show a 3D render of your booth before fabrication starts. Some ask for a deposit first.
Not always. Check who owns the design files and whether the design fee changes if another builder fabricates it.
