How it works
AV and lighting, step by step
- 01
Decide what the screen is for
A looping brand video needs a monitor; a demo seen from across the hall needs an LED wall.
- 02
Order from the show or your builder
Show AV suppliers publish advance and standard prices; advance orders are cheaper.
- 03
Budget labor and engineers
Set and strike labor and a video engineer are billed on top of the equipment.
- 04
Check electrical rules
At some venues booth lighting is electrical work for venue electricians when a contractor installs.
